About the Role
Opportunity: Project Architect - Hampshire
We are a specialist recruitment agency currently seeking a talented Architect to join an esteemed architectural practice based in Winchester. This award-winning firm is renowned for its focus on high-quality, innovative design, particularly in the creation of bespoke, one-off homes.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead and manage architectural projects on-site from inception through to completion.
Technical Expertise: Specialise in the technical and construction stages of projects, with a strong emphasis on detailing and specification writing.
Contract Administration: Oversee contract administration, ensuring compliance with UK building regulations and CDM regulations.
Collaboration: Work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Independent Work: Manage workload independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Post-Planning Compliance: Handle post-planning requirements, including conditions compliance and Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) obligations.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
RIBA Part 3 Qualification: Registered architect with ARB accreditation.
Experience: A minimum of one year of post-Part 3 experience in practice, with a strong portfolio in the technical and construction stages.
Regulations Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of UK building regulations and CDM regulations.
Contract Management: Proven experience in contract administration and managing construction projects.
Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge in construction, detailing, and specification writing.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Language Proficiency: Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
Technical Proficiencies:
Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp is essential. A working knowledge of Revit is advantageous but not required.
The salary for this role is between £36,000 - £42,000. Immediate start for the right candidate, with interviews commencing immediately.
